Ellington over Rodgers and Bell. Idk why but if Ellington does end up producing as a RB1 then he would be great keeper value and I could have the depth I need as well for RB and WR and waiting for QB. It would allow me to get receivers in 2 and 3 before getting a RB2 among good decent RB2 options in the fourth. I mean Ellington could be there in the 3rd but I think Cobb or Jeffery in rd 3 is better than Patterson or Crabtree in rd 4. And Ellington is better than whats in the fourth as well if he stays healthy. Rice as a RB2 to Ellington is better than as a RB2 to CJ1K or Vereen. And again say that I get Ellington in 3rd, I lose Cobb or Jeffery's production in favor of Patterson or Crabtree. Its something to think about however Bell could still be an option also but its Blount I'm concerned about. I don't know if keeping Rodgers is the best idea.

Its just speculation. Idk if I will since I got no responses thinking it was a good idea. I have to accept RB will be a bit of a weakness for the early part.

Just too specific man. And you have about 20 names in a clustered paragraph. What exactly are you asking? And what are the parameters? Between keeping Rodgers and drafting Brees, and mock drafts. ...I'm just not sure if I'm supposed to know your league type.

When you have a keeper league and you are doing mocks for practice its pretty difficult to draft like I will. I mean you don't draft Rodgers or Brees over AP in round 1. It doesnt make sense and people would question why you did it. In that situation I would have to draft a qb in a spot I would draft a flex or rb2. Basically my first pick in mocks I don't put much emphasis on and just focus on my picks I'm planning in rounds 2-4 or 5 before drafting a qb. AP is irrelevant and so is RG3 or Foles.

In the ones I drafted Brees, I honestly prefer Brees over Rodgers of course and being a saints fan I am going to take him over Rodgers in mocks if he's not taken. Its still a QB1 either way which is how I look at these mocks. Position, not name among the first tiers. Graham being drafted first was a practice for me aiming for Gronk in round 2 and this usually would be if I am picking among the last five spots in the second round. There, Gronk is great value to have and can still get a strong receiver with tremendous upside in early round 3. Also its not dumb to draft Graham over Forte or Lacy in the first round, over AP and McCoy yes. I have no interest in JC.

Practicing in mocks for a 1 keeper where you're guy is not first round value can be rather confusing. And I'm too smart a drafter to do something to be questioned on.

Also another thing I do is look at where Green, Marshall, or my preferred target are drafted in round 2. If they are drafted four or less spots before my turn and Foster, Bell, Lacy, and Lynch(the first rounders that are not keepers and four of the keepers all being ranked lower than the top 6 receivers) were gone before them then I see it as them really being available in my draft if the available players go in the order they did in the mock.

For instance this is how the second round will be ranked
1.Lacy
2.Lynch
3.Benard(he's moved into the top 7)
4.Bell
5.Ball
6.DT
7.Green
8.Marshall
9.Jones
10.Manning
11.Morris
12.Reggie

hence, don't do these mocks! it helps you 0%.

do 100 mocks and there will be 100 different mocks. You are talking way too specifically to be talking exactly who to take... and as for mocks "keeper style", there are sites out there that you can set them up (fantasy pros I think? ...Sam knows)... anyway

I did a couple mocks last week over at FFC and it was already thin after 6 rounds. In my league that is not happening I don't think not with how NFL.com has the rankings. I expect the draft to have its highest attendance this year with 10 people. How much that affects we'll see. But a few are name value types.

I too am lost with all of the explanations, but yes. It is a really bad idea to keep Ellington over Bell and Rodgers. If you like him, you can get him back in the re-draft. You may not have the same option with the other two.
