Is there a chance that Fikel could come to Nebraska as a position coach for a year or two. I do like the guys charactor and I think it would help recruiting in the state of Ohio. I dont think it could hurt just saying

The early reports said that Fickell would come back to Ohio State as defensive coordinator. He was awesome in that role, so I wouldn't be surprised if the rumors were right.

If he doesn't stay at tOSU, I couldn't see him being anything less than a defensive coordinator. He was very respected in that role, and i'd imagine more than a few big name schools would be interested in Fickell as a DC.

Why in the hell do we need someone to come in now to help with Ohio recruiting. Remind me again where the Pelini's are from. Remind me again where Heard is from. Plus there are a few others from Ohio.

Also, where in the blue hell would he coach here? DC? Carl isn't going anywhere? DB? Unfortunately Raymond isn't going anywhere. LB? Els isn't going anywhere. DL? Again, Carl isn't leaving.

Well Jed I do agree you being urself is flat out dumb. Why in the red hell would it be dumb to have anouther ohio native on Nebraskas coaching staff? Ohio has a lot of High School talent and If Urban does take the job I dont think that it would be hard for him to land alot of those in state kids. Fikel has been under some good coaches and like other posters have already said he hold a lot of respect as a DC. I am not necessarily talking about him replacing any position coach at Nebraska I am talking about him comming in for a year or two and help tighten the screws with the defense. Either on D-line or Lb or Secondary or recuiting whereever it maybe.

So a respected across the country DC would come in and be a position coach? Man, that is some respect right there!!!!



Thanks for the much need info that I had no clue about. Now can you answer these other questions? Who is Nebraska's AD? Has Nebraska ever won a national title? What conference is Nebraska in? And finally, is water wet?
