Packers win brings them back into the Wild Card picture.

Still remains, we need to win 4 of our next 5, and possibly all of our next five to get into the playoffs. We hold the tie breaker over Packers, Vikings. But we need Bucs and Saints to lose a couple and we cant afford to lose to the Cards or we are basically Skewed..... Also Carolina's game this week might have some bearing on the Wild card race.

It is clear...if we win out then we are in.

If we lose one, we are highly likely to be in.

If we lose 2, we are probably out but there is a chance.

We beat NYG, ARI and Phi or Car and we are in. Im going to go out on a limb and say that we actually end up ahead of the Giants for the 5th playoff spot. They have a hellish schedule and may lose 4 of their next 5. I see us realistically winning 4 going in so we end up 10-5-1 and I see them no better than 10-6. Maybe 9-7.

Minnesota has the easiest. Everyone else seems to have tough roads against playoff contenders. Philthy gets lucky with Dallas week 17 and they may be resting.

I love playing the schedule game this time of year, especially when the Skins are alive. I was rooting for the Eagles last night. They have losses coming. I think the Packers have a chance to run the table and win that division. At this point I think we get in, so I'm all about sizing up our first round opponent.

This team is built for a fast track dome venue. Want no parts of Green Bay in January. Could be wrong, one week changes everything.

I agree with j_y, I could see the Giants dropping 4 of 5 and end up with the 6th seed.

Dallas may have everything wrapped up with three weeks to go if they beat Minnesota Thursday and get their revenge against the Giants. That could affect how they play TB, DET, & Philly as they could choose to rest guys.

We beat Arizona Sunday and their season is over. Tampa has Dallas and the Saints twice. I think Tampa and New Orleans eliminate each other.

If Minnesota beats Dallas Thursday that changes a lot of things in my mind. That Packers at Lions game at the end of the year is gonna be huge.

Beating Arizona this week will go a long way to getting us in. If we can do that I think all we'd have to do is beat Chicago and steal one out of the other three (@PL, CAR, NYG) I still think 9-6-1 gets us in.

I think that is the really big deal. Second year in a row that we are all trying to figure a way into the playoffs. That is not a great statement overall, but for long suffering Skins fans it is pretty damn good.

I don't think that it really speaks poorly about the Redskins overall. They made the playoffs last season mainly because of circumstances. I really didn't expect that much this season. They are still rebuilding but showing signs of heading in the rt direction. Defense will be the priority this offseason & should move them closer to the pt of competing just about every season for quite a while. Getting there.

How couldn't you expect much this season when there were two rookie QB's in the division? I was confident in august that we would win the division. No one could of forecasted the Dak factor.

I think we are more than just heading in the right direction, I think with a couple of key additions on defense, we are a contender next year. While we have 6-7 holes on defense, we dont have to fill them all. If we can find a good FS and a playmaker on the DL, everyone else becomes better on that squad.

Well then you were not being objective & looking at the realistic picture. There have been red flags since the beginning of training camp especially in regards to the running game & defense. Also - nobody projected Cousins to do this well.

As the season progressed there were positive signs especially with the O line & now even the running game. However - there are obvious issues with the defense & of course Red Zone offense. Yes - Prescott has been a surprise but we all knew that Elliott would be a factor. Also - I was looking at this more from a standpoint of the Redskins' shortcomings and not the issues for the other teams.

Agree - that is what I meant. I look at this more of getting better to pt where they are a serious contender every season & certainly this could start as soon as next season (could be this season but that would be a long shot).

After the Romo injury we were the favorites to win the division. I made a prediction that it would be us and the Giants for the division.

DAK is not going to be MVP, not even close. Hell, KC will get more votes that he does. Elliott is a different matter. He could very well win it and deservedly so.

My point is that no one predicted this kind of a season out of those two rookies. Weren't we the favorite in August to win the division?? How could anyone say they didn't expect anything out of our team this year?

I dont remember any official rankings having us winning the division. In fact, most had us 3rd or 4th. Everyone kinda thought last year was a fluke and we backed into the division championship.

Even after the Romo injury? Plus how can socal or anyone for that matter predict KC to regress? We drafted the best WR in the draft. Jackson was healthy and we picked up Davis who is a good veteran. Im not being bias, I was just looking at the roster in August and saying that we have a ton a depth at the skilled positions.
