My main problem with the show is how they dont realize “Pete” isn’t actually Pete. Especially at the big dinner.

Sorry, 20 years isn’t THAT long.

I watched something a while back talking about true cases of people claiming to be missing people. The family wanting the person to be their loved one is pretty powerful. A con man playing that angle up, not too surprising at all.

But when the actual person is sitting at the table?

Again, 20 years isn’t THAT long...

It's not that long if you're talking about adulthood, but 20 years from a kid to a grownup, is forever. One of the real cases they talked about the faker had different EYE COLOR for crissakes, but the family still wanted it to be true. Their long lost and grieved for kid is now alive.

Looks like they released all 10 episodes at once for season 3. Pretty good so far but we will see where it goes. The show has the infrastructure to go many seasons if they do it right or it could fall apart pretty quick if they try to get to artsy with it. The easy route is to have a new con every season and get past the fact he is not really Pete. Just need to keep giving him reasons to do cons.

At the end of the series he probably has to end up back in prison. Full circle is the only way to end it.

Watching S3 now.

Love that this was Ricky Jay’s last roll. Totally appropriate.

Too bad he couldn’t finish the season, though. Understandable, but sad.

Surprised they didn’t have a “For Ricky” or something at the end.

It did have a "For Ricky" or something at the end of one of the episodes. Think It was 7 or 8.

Missed that. All grift shows/movies should honor him for the next few years. Dude was amazing.

On a side note, I have been binging Deadwood recently and noticed how bad Jay looked in EP compared to his DW days. It was quite shocking, actually.

Several episodes into season 3 and I got bored with the new girl and stopped watching. Tried to get into it but just not feeling it this season.
