I agree 100%, the bottom of the order puts fear in no one.

Johnson's getting a lot of bad swings at that slider.

I didn't even realize Johnson was in the organization all of last year. This year looks to be his best in the minors and been in AAA for a long time (like a AAAA pitcher?).
Another shocker he was a 1st round pick for the Red Sox back in '06.

Regardless of how this game ends, how about the show debut for Kris Johnson? Pitching 4 scoreless in relief in extra innings. Not to shabby.

This is assuming he doesn't give up the GW run, so i guess it isn't regardless but still.

Yeah you have to give him props for 4 long innings in relief in his debut.
Looks like though they were extending him in AAA as a starter so I can see him going a little longer.

Lets hope in the 16th the Pirates actually hit the ball!

I understand having a struggling offense at times during a season.

However, the under performance by many of the hitters on this team has just gotten absolutely ridiculous!

It's sickening to get the kind of pitching we did today & too lose this game at home.

Last I checked, nobody on the Snakes staff is going to be mistaken for Cy Young.

Just a terrible set of efforts today with the bats, from all but a select few.

Well, nail biting time again. Our lead in the NL Central division is back down to 1 Gm.

I just have no faith in the Bucs ability to be some sort of consistent offense on a nightly basis. I hope they can at least hang onto the second wild card by season's end. I think we're running out of time to hope that certain people in the lineup will come around and start to pick things up.

Think they have to skip Jeff Locke next time in the rotation, he has nothing right now. Hopefully it is just a dead arm, and rest is all he needs.

They can't let him go down the James McDonald path, and let him pitch through the terribleness, because that has worked out terribly for James.
