What are your thoughts on the Lions D this week?

Deciding between them and the Bills. Currently leaning towards the lions simply because they play on TV, but I wanted to get your take on how they have looked the last couple weeks.

0 sacks in 2 games makes me nervous. Have they been able to pressure the QB just without getting home, or has the rush been slow the last couple games? I know the Bears have been a hot mess, but if Cutler is given time he may be able to do some damage.

No offense to Smitty or Micro, but this is the time of year where the Lions seem to start imploding. But the good news is that they play the Bears. Even the awful Bucs D got 11 points last week - mostly from holding the Bears to 21 points.

I'd like to think that the Bears use a marquee game like this to get the offense going, but I have my doubts. Especially since it is in Motown.

No offense Joe, we are aware of our history as well. The last two weeks, imo, it seems that our D-coordinator has stopped blitzing. Tooooooo many 4-man rushes. That won't get the job done. And we played a shit ton of zone last week and Brady torched us.

I have about 10% confidence we'll win this game. I actually picked up the Chicago D in my big money league bc our offense is a mess right now.

Is Detroit's D the best one out there? I'd say it's not a horrible play, but I don't have trust in them like I did a few weeks ago.

Im less confident than Micro. Took the Bears today.

Like hevo said, we've been running zone more lately. Bringing less and less guys from the backfield. The Hoody avoided the run and exploited the coverage underneath. Chicago scares me just as much offensively because of all the weapons. Not because of speed, but I don't think we face a group with better hands. Bennett and Forte will be tough to defend. Levy can't handle both at the same time.

I would not be surprised if Chicago puts up the second most points, to NE last week, on the season. But there is always the chance Cutty gives us some TOs. But I can't say Id go with Detroits D if I had other options.

Have a great Thanksgiving everybody!

Thanks for the perspective guys. Good to hear from a Bears fan too!

Buffalo is playing better right now, so I think I will go with them. I still think the Lions could have a big day, but they seem riskier.

Sounds like both Bears and Lions fans are cautiously optimistic. With the emphasis on "cautious."

Put a fork in the Bears. Literally. They're done. Outside of a couple of series, the Lions out-played them. I might even start pulling for them.

As a Forte owner the Bears are infuriating. The OL is getting manhandled but waaaay too many chucks for Cutler.he has to be the least fundamentally sound starting QB in the league.
