That was then, this is now. I learned a long time ago that you don't bet against Brady when the playoffs begin and his playoff record proves it.
Well, he only played 1 NFCE team and had to come back to win. I believe NO ONE will underestimate TB but, he is very beatable at age 43.

My hopes are that we will show up on Saturday night but I also live in the real world. Until proven otherwise it is not very smart to bet against Brady in a playoff game. Hopefully Saturday night will prove otherwise.

Wow. How stupid are you? Can you not tell the difference between could and would?

I said nothing in his history said he would win a playoff game. I made this statement after MWAB stated in post 91 that he always says SF wins that SB with AS.

I only look like a fool to a tool with no understanding of the English language. I have posted nothing but facts, while you have come across as a complete AS homer with delusional dreams of rubbing Alex’s leg.
And you keep repeating this ridiculous mantra even though I schooled you on why you would expect a playoff victory in 2012. Cletus, you are just making yourself look even more foolish with your inane drivel. Give us a break.

I am hoping for a victory .

Dad, I think all of us here are hoping for a victory but my question is how are we going to score enough points to win with our anemic offense? I don't think we can keep expecting our D to score for us and I feel reasonably certain the Bucs are going to score some points.

Easy.

Multiple defensive TDs.

Ok, so maybe easy is a poor word choice. But I do think it would take 2-3 TOs leading directly to short field or defensive TDs for WFT to pull the upset.

Possible, just not at all likely.

First, I hope the WTF win. That would be great.

I pointed out in an earlier thread that the WTF would need to score in the neighborhood of 24 points even if the WTF defense plays well. That is illustrated in the posts where 20 and and 26 points were/would have been needed to beat Tampa. Those illustrations tell a story both ways. Do the WTF have enough offense (QB) to score that many points? Can get that points off of TOs to help them win?

I think we will all be rooting for the Redskins. Anything is possible and we will hope for the best. Clearly the oddsmakers don't give the WTF much of a chance. Who wouldn't root for an upset.

now let me ask you this , why did we want/fight so hard to get here only to lose 10 draft spots and needing a qb badly who wont be there at 19 ?

dont get me wrong tanking isnt what i would want but making the playoffs and getting escorted out in round one in blowout fashion takes the shine off it . so i want a win . i want to eat that big ass crow because if vegas was taking bets on this board come draft time someone other then me will question why we did this

does this experience out weigh the chance at a decent qb ? its a legit question and i hope the anything can happen crowd ( me included) gets some more of anything rather then my dark thoughts

Well, I'll certainly have to agree with you on your poor choice of words with multiple defensive TDs even though I don't see this happening, but I will also agree with you on possible, just not at all likely.

I think tomcat and I as well as others think the same thing. The reason to get in the playoffs was to have the experience playing for something important. Mission accomplished. How about that 4 down stand inside the 10 yard line or the great pass and catch by Logan Thomas or even ole duckfoot making an important kick.

I am also going to use common sense and say what I think has to happen to win and the probability isn't in the WTFs favor. What the hell, if they win we can fight over who gets to eat crow first. I want mine with Buffalo sauce.

Dad, I think you answered your own question in a recent post when you said "I'm glad we made the playoffs because it will be a good experience for our young players." Now I'll try to answer your question. We fought so hard to get here because you play to win with the hand that is dealt to you. We worry about the draft when it's time to draft. I still believe our best avenue to a badly needed QB is through FA as long as we don't have to give up to much. I think all of us here want a win over the Bucs but if we are realistic I don't think we can expect this to happen. You and I have already said that our season has been a success, and it has, no matter what happens the rest of the way so you are not required to eat anymore big ass crow for the rest of this season anyway. Vegas is much too busy winning mega bucks than to deal with the sisters of the weak on this board if you know what I mean. Your last question can't be answered yet because we don't know who our future QB will be but this experience does weigh heavily for our positive changing culture and the experience for our young players, as you have said, with something to build on.

the most legit qbs we have a chance at are garrapolo and carr along with darnold (huge risk but low cost ) in my opinion that would fit your criterion you get into bidding wars we cant win going after stafford . ryan is too old and chews up the cap , dak is too expensive and isnt the type of qb you want on a big contract . rivers will retire if he isnt with the colts

If we are all not rooting for WTF why are we even posting here? You're correct and 24 points sounds like a reasonable number to me but how do we get these points unless we get a safety 12 times which I don't think is very likely? If we struggled offensively against a depleted Eagles defense to score points how do we score against a defense that's coming to town on Saturday night with a lot to prove on why they belong? When you add to this Brady, Gronk, Brown, etc. offensively they are going to score no matter how good we think our D is. I'm probably dreaming but if we can win the field position game, the TO game, and not kill ourselves with stupid penalties we might be able to stay in this game.

Dad prefers the mild sauce since he says his wife calls him a puss but I can tell you from experience the hot sauce kills the taste of crow exceptionally well. Buffalo sauce comes in mild, medium, or hot so which do you prefer?

That's a lot of thought for another day and I will chime in on it but right now my focus is on us not embarrassing ourselves on Saturday night.

Seriously Gomer, you haven’t showed a single thing. At that point in AS’ career, he had shown nothing To expect, let alone say WOULD, have postseason or regular season success.

Was it possible...sure.

Was it a guarantee...fuck no And fuck you.
