Allen is a backup so if we go into next season with him as the starter nothing changesHopefully, Smith’s calf is a little better in a week. If it’s based on overuse, then this game and a week of practice won’t help, but if it is from something else, it could help. Gibson will be more healed, how is TBs run defense? Time of possession helps. I think Thomas won’t fall down again for one INT and Smith if he’s a little better won’t make McKissic jump to get that one catch (INT). It’s about the defense. If they get to an immobile Brady and WSH controls field position, time of possession, Evans hurt or out, stars could align. Crazier things have happened.
Then, go draft a guy, put him behind Allen, and keep Heinicke.
I assumed a first round QB drafted, Allen to start a bit. Heinicke the second or third string. for this, Allen and Heinicke can switch if that’s better.Allen is a backup so if we go into next season with him as the starter nothing changes

Not sure I feel that way with an unhealthy AS. I realize that the numbers don’t lie. But the production when he is hurting is gonna get him killed imoSmith is the best option to win if the defense can play lights out.
Stat-wise TB's run defense looks to be pretty stout. They were ran on a league low 358 times or a little over 22 times a game. They gave up 1289 total rushing yards or a little over 80.5 yards per game at about 3.6 yards a pop, giving up 10 rushing TDs for the year. TB's defense is fast and they can get after the passer with Suh, JPP, White and Barrett. That said, every defense in the NFL can get straight mobbed, unfortunately just not by the Skins offense. And given what we saw last night. I'm thinking Brady and TB's offense might be the least of our worries come Saturday. TB's defense has the potential to overwhelm our offense, especially if Alex can't move. I didn't want him to play last night. and with the way I feel right now. I want to play next week even less.
And Thomas didn't just fall down. He was tripped by incidental contact by the Eagles player who picked the ball.
Didn’t see that. Thought it was the wet field...And Thomas didn't just fall down. He was tripped by incidental contact by the Eagles player who picked the ball.
It looked a little like a push to me and the ball was going to be behind Logan. Not a good throw ... Smith had a few of those.Didn’t see that. Thought it was the wet field...
