Yeah good point. But good God David Bruton made Madeiu Williams look like Ronnie Lott. Isn't it amazing that a team that thought they had their safety tandem for a decade in Sean Taylor and Laron Landry has had so much trouble here. I mean the list of players is huge and they weren't "average" or "ok bit we can do better" players. No they have all pretty much sucked to one degree or another.

Can't argue that point. You gotta wonder why it has been so difficult to find even average safeties.

Define a miss? A guy who is payed like a backup and given a chance to compete is a miss?

Guys who were brought here to start that may be considered busts are Chris Culliver and Stephen Paea. Culliver was fine until the injury and Paea was paid as a borderline starter, which he was.

now balance them vs davis , nsexy , kelley , harris , foster RJF blackman hopkins jenkins (stop gap )

i am thinking its about a 50% hit rate

now judge the cost of those guys ?

I agree with everything said here, breed. But isn't this kinda cherry picking? Don't ya think we could go through every GM in the league and find 3 FA busts that would make it look like the GM had no clue?

My bad. I wasn't trying to call Scotrty Mac out or anything. After reading the OP. I basically was picking my top 3 bad Scotty Mac FA signings. As someone [pointed out earlier, Dave, I think, There hasn't been a move that didn't work out. That has cost the Skins in the way of draft picks or a bad contract. That's cool, real cool.

I guess its happened a few times where a team signs a significant number of FAs that work out great to good to OK, but you can't depend on hitting on every FA pick up. So if you get rid of the FAs that haven't worked out with no muss, no fuss, like the Skins have the last couple years.....................Word!

Now lets get KC signed and happy and keep heading in the direction that we are right now.

Yeah as I said his in-season hits were really good. But indrafted FA pickups like Harris and Kelly are in an entirely different catagory IMO, those are "sign a bunch and hope a few stick" players. I'm talking about players they had meetings about and targeted to fill certain roles, then invested cap money in.

But you are right, when you put the entire package together it looks a lot better. But he needs to find more guys like Davis or Ty who really play well. Foster/Jenkins? Meh.
