There often isn't much to take away from the pre-season, but there's a guy who's been lighting it up this month and looks like he's secured the #2 spot behind a very good veteran running back who is coming off a serious injury, has a litany of other injuries, and has spent more of his career on the injury report than off it.

This sleeper also has as many NFL teams on his resume as he does regular-season carries - otherwise he probably wouldn't be a sleeper at all.

BTW, I'm seeing reports that the Steelers have released Dwyer if anyone is interested.

Felix Jones?

... If so, he has not secured the #2 spot.

Been thinking about this question off and on all day....

I haven't looked anything up. But a couple of guys who may fit the second portion of the question is either Joe McKnight or Leon Washington. Both have been around the block a few times. I think Leon is in NE so that may eliminate him. So is it McKnight?

Xpo and Sam have it right with Todman.

The question now is whether given MJD's injuries and Todman's consistent high-level pre-season production anybody should grab him before MJD goes down.

Todman? But in your clue, you said...

This sleeper also has as many NFL teams on his resume as he does regular-season carries - otherwise he probably wouldn't be a sleeper at all.

You inferred that he has been on multiple teams - plural - as he does carries - when in fact Todman has only been on the Jags (yet has 3 regular season carries).

Todman was drafted and signed by the Chargers in 2011 and waived in October. The Vikings picked him up before Week 17. He had a number and was on the bench for both teams, but never saw the field. He got all three carries last year with the Jags.

Well aren't you smart?

I'll bet the Chargers wish they had him back?
