He said it and it has come true thus far.
1: Our older guys are injured or out.

Bowen 30 ST IR
Golston 31 Injured
Hatcher 32 Injured
Hall 30 IR
Now Ryan Clark was arguably the best player on the field last night for us, so I know there are exceptions to the rule.
The way he is trying to set an example, I fear he will be injured very soon.

2: The second safety position will burn us. It has badly

3: The Trenches. Especially the offensive line. We suck there. I hope the young guys improve enough soon so that they can replace some of our existing starters.

4: Haslett. He can't use the handcuff excuse this year. He has free reign. Granted we are weak at some positions but he has shown very little innovation. Can we jam anyone. Corner blitz even. Something but a weak 10 yard cushion.

Well done, Skinsdad. Although 6 wins may be a little optimistic!

I'm a fan of Dad's we see things the same way a lot. But saying old guys get hurt and our safeties, OL and DC suck is not exactly Nastradamus territory now is it? :)

I dont know about that. For ten plus years Skinsdad has basically said every year we will be about 6-10, some one will get injured and the QB is not at fault ( ell except when the QB was McNabb). Skinsdad bets the low angle, so he actually is more likely to be right.

By the way has Romo lite thrown another pick yet. Cant wait to get MV2 back just to make things really exciting. :D

The thing is, we're not losing because we lack talent, even though we clearly do have some weak areas. We're losing because we make stupid, unforced mistakes. We throw terrible INTs at the worst times, we fumble in the red zone when a DB simply rips the ball out of Paulsen's hands, we have way too many penalties in each game. We give away momentum with regularity, and we let teams run the same play over and over and make no adjustments. All that points to coaching to me.

At one point I think we were down 21 and had given the Giants 21 points off 3 turnovers. Maybe its just lack of talent that causes us to make all these mistakes, but to me the players are all playing below their collective talent level. Mistakes, mental errors, unforced errors. Nothing has changed from Zorn to Shanny to Gruden.

It is a combination of things. Especially with the recent injuries the team certainly does lack talent especially in the secondary & O-line. Some of the mistakes are stupid & I would not expect them to occur on a regular basis. However - until proven otherwise - there is no reason to not expect more INTs from Cousins. That is his MO.

No different than people expecting RG3 to move out of the pocket & get injured. Logic tells you that this is the expected result. Cousins gambles on a regular basis & the results are feast or famine. As others have noted - one potential fix is to run more often (even if sometimes the runs don't produce great results you keep running). However - that approach will be problematic if the defense basically lays down.

Just like with RG3 perhaps some of this can be corrected, but if you look at this objectively there is no reason to expect different results at this time. This is where the coaches will earn their money or be out on the street soon enough (not this season but perhaps after next season).

This is my take too. We are not completely lacking in talent. We do have some and some play makers. What we lack is playing with basic discipline and executing the fundamentals. Also, feels like the mindset is one of weakness. Too many one on one battles being lost on the field. Simply unacceptable.

I know nothing of Skins Dad and his prophecies, but it is hardly prophetic to predict that guys past 30 are going to slow down and/or get hurt. There is a reason why many teams decide not to resign players after that age. They tend to drop off.

Philly used to have a hard and fast rule on this that one of our posters likened to "Logan's Run" which I found hilarious. Now, they take it on more of a case by case basis--they have inked guys like Jason Peters to long deals for example even though he is past 30. But those deals have to be the exception and not the rule. The odds are stacked against you if you have a team full of aging players, especially on defense it seems.

Yeah it's hard to argue Kick's post. At one point, after what seemed like the 10th straight penalty that was called on Washington I let out a scream. Dogs ran for cover and I know the neighbors heard me. And my neighbors aren't that close.

Dad did not buy into the fluff. The Desean Jackson signing, the RG3 removing the brace. The exciting new coach.

Sure it is not Nostradamus like to predict people will get hurt when they turn 30, but some of you are missing the point. Everyone of the 30 somethings are hurt or out except for Chester and Clark. Even Adam Hayward is week to week(I forgot to mention him before).

Skinsdad laid out his reasoning for the 6-10 record and he mentioned all of the reasons I mentioned before. It is one thing to think it could happen. It is another to give his logical reasoning behind why it will happen. When, we get younger, the Oline is improved, have a competent safety tandem, and we get rid of "Hasmat":10:, I know Dad will predict much better results for us. So suck it up and give him some credit homies.

I'm not so sure we aren't getting younger. They have a core of young players to build around and a lot more in the pipeline developing. Problem is they aren't there yet hence the Tyler Polumbus Experience.

Actually save for some D-lineman & a bit at safety this team is very young. The problem is that a lot of them are not necessarily quality players.

As everyone has mentioned they need help on the line of scrimmage & they obviously need some secondary help. Pretty sad when you consider - along with special teams - this used to be the strength of the Redskins. It may be too late for this season, but this organization needs to be focused on what exactly is required to build a solid team & start going in that direction. Perhaps they already are & we just expect too much too soon. I don't know - I am tired of always trying to figure this out & constantly bitching about this team. I want to watch good football - not debate about what is required to turn the team around.

I certainly expected there to be issues this season but not to this extent. I am all for being patient, but I don't want to wait 5+ years for it to occur, and we have no guarantees that this team won't be in the same spot in a few years. Depressing.
