Special teams is about the depth of talent on a team. I think ST is the perfect representation of where this team is.

We are still suffering consequences of our past. Like you said, STs is made up of depth. High draft picks in depth typically have more speed and athleticism...which we lack on all accounts.

Getting off blocks is not all about speed and athleticism. It can be about desire and technique.

The Skins Special Teams are special alright. 24/7 protective helmet wearing, short-bus riding, straight to special education classes special.

Dayum son, don't hold back!

You have some of the most hilarious descriptions of malfunctions of any poster I've seen. Carry on.

Yeah, The Skins can make me a little crazy at times and before I know it. I'm talking or typing some shit that just kinda comes out.

I hope I don't/didn't offend anyone who is related to/has a friendship with a special needs person.

No room for complete political correctness on a football message board...gotta take things with context. Sometimes things are just funny.

Yep...and when those things are equal (there is a reason you are a STs player), speed and athleticism separate you.

Agree that is why most STs is full of DBs and WRs. No sense in using LBs and TEs who are slower. I know on all the football teams I played on and my nephews have played on we always had our entire team run the 40 and the 11 fastest guys who also had the best long jump were named to STs. Remember when Darrell Green was the gunner back in the day.:pound:

Yes I am busting them, only because you are telling me in my 20 years of football I don't have a clue. Hell maybe I don't.

I should add that I don't disagree that speed helps. Of course it does but getting off blocks has a lot to do with technique. Whether you are on STs or D.
