Dean.. you my boy and all, so dont take this the wrong way..... Decafe brother. You have been entirely too stressed over the draft, FA and what we might do in general as of late. I can get as heated as any one over certain topics... But the signing of competition especially on the O-line right now, can only be seen as a good thing. If we go into the draft not NEEDING to draft at any particular position.. that is actually a good thing.

That would be funny is they cut both Litch and Chester. Draft a guard at 34. I like it. The Shanny interior line would be completely gone. I love it.

I would be happy with using Licht as a swing G/C, moving Lavaou back to RG where he belongs and drafting a starting LG with #34, perhaps Filo or Yankey. I'm ok with letting Polumbus & Compton battle for RT this year. I want Chester out of here...

He will compete with lich for center note he has 20 pounds on lich and playes center with eagles but was horriable with colts at guard

True, or some of them could be kept as well. Ditching the entire line is not always a good thing, and its usually a bad thing. You would basically have five guys all trying to learn how to play together and protect our QB who still has a tendency to tuck and run when things get hairy.

b/c supposedly they are more talented. I knew Gruden was going to shake things up. Possible 3 to 4 new starters. He could go Moses in the 2nd and Gabe Jackson in the 3rd. That would really shake things up.

Why on earth is everyone so desperate to draft a guard. Interior Oline has been addressed. Peplum bus has been dreadful for years. Don't be fooled by grant Paulson. We need a right tackle and a rangy free safety!

Because at 34, the only FS out there is Calvin Pryor who will go before pick 20.

Because at 34, the best value may be G and we can get a 10 year starter that can protect our franchise QB and open holes for our running game.

Because at 34, there will be ZERO value at the TE position.

Nobody has said Moses would not be a good pick here but there is a debate on if he'll be there.

Guard is the best value besides WR. But the draft is deep at WR so we should grab a guard at #34. Mosely, Pryor, or Dix trade ups are not out of the question either.

mcglynn has played center and guard , he was a good center in philly and with the colts when they slotted him there late in the year . for the right price it could be good be we arent talking about a world beatesr in either lavou or mcglynn but both in tandem could be upgrades

shark my question for you is there anyplace you want an upgrade ? we had 4 below avg performers in the o/line last season

in year one of gruden i would expect o/line continuity problems at the beginning . fact is we needed 4 new o/lineman
