New Orleans Saints waive LB Martez Wilson - ESPN

The Saints drafted the athletic 6-foot-4, 252-pounder out of Michigan State in the third round in 2011. But he was never able to find a consistent role on the defense while switching positions and defensive coordinators every year.

Chances are he’ll get picked up somewhere else around the league, since athletes of his caliber aren’t easy to find.

Wilson ran the fastest 40-yard dash of any linebacker at the 2011 scouting combine (4.49 seconds). And his former Illinois coach and former defensive coordinator Ron Zook once said, “Probably, other than [former Saints pass-rusher] Joe Johnson, he might be more of a pure athlete than anyone I coached with the Saints.”

I disagree with the idea that the redskins are "pretty set at lb," though....

i want find find out more about that banning . i think some of it is his fault for not letting an issue go but i dont think a banning is a solution except perhaps on the cowboy board much like eastbay got from here


i think banning is extreme and of course i am of the understanding that warpath could come back and was given time to do so but i dont know whatever came of it

i want him back because we had good debates
