Colt is better than a lot of teams backups.

Until very recently he was the Redskins 3rd string QB. If he was that good he would not have been in that role. Again - I believe that he might be good for a few games, but it would be problematic after that.

I understand the pt about being better than the Dallas backup QB. My pt was that for just about every team - including the Redskins - if the starting QB goes down then the season is probably at risk regardless of the depth for the rest of the team. There are exceptions (e.g. Denver last year), but they are not the norm.

While best team on paper is debatable, the logic is easy to get. They were missing Romo and Dez pretty much all year. Plus they've added what most consider the most complete RB prospect in a while to fix that running game that went South last year. I can see why Dallas would be on paper a lot better than their record showed last year.
