skins multiple defense

I was talking to football coach at a bar just so happens we both had are skins hat on anyway he said he been a coach for 30 years and he knows the skins will run a multiple defense so I said noo skins are a 3-4 team he says by the way skins sign those ilbs and hatcher that indicated that they will run a 4-3 and a 3-4 depending on who they are playing . I was like thats impossiable he says nope you depth jjst has to be 4- 3 guys is this coach full of shit?

depends. What does he coach? Pee wee? HS? College?

We actually ran a version of a 4-3 last year quite a bit. Just depends on the situation and the competitor. We would have Kerrigan line up with his hand in the dirt and shift an ILB to the outside or bring in an extra DB.

Skins ran 60% 4-3 last year but that is about as basic a description as you can give. ALL defenses are multiple, you have to be or you would get killed. It's not what defense you run it is having the players and being able to execute.

My nephew's HS school team was multiple in offense and defense. Not to the same extent but they didn't run just one set.
