An update of the Redskins depth chart one week before the draft
i dont like where he put everyone but not a bad stab at it

After all the talk about the Big 4 positions the other day, I got to wondering.
I wondered how much other teams were spending on the big 4. I didn’t have the energy to go through this for every team, but I did grab a subset of teams who made noise in the playoffs recently. I also included all of our division for obvious reasons. I guess it should be no surprise that the Chiefs are spending the least right now. Note that these numbers come from Spotrac, and their Edge classifications were a little jacked up (they had Ioannidis and Allen listed under the Edge class for instance, so I excluded them). This assumes a salary cap of 198.2 million.

i copied this from hogs haven so you can see some numbers
Looking at his depth chart, boy... we have serious problems at the 2 OLBer spots, and we're not good at MLBer. I don't think people are getting how bad our entire LBer situation is. Foster's career is in jeopardy, and he's listed as a starter - because there's nobody good enough to put as a starter. Thomas Davis may have some left - but most experts were saying he might have to switch to MLBer. You could make the case that the Skins' top 4 LBers are all best at MLBer. This is one of the reasons I keep saying to consider trading down for a package featuring Simmons.
And they should really start Moreland this season and see what they have there. We know Moreau is very ordinary.
By lb/FS type, you mean an Urlacher type, right? They will find a stud linebacker in training camp i trust the scout dept to find some undrafted rookie or june cuts or 3rd rd in draft no reason for simmons lb/FS type go chase young period

I hope you're right about Foster, but I haven't seen or heard anything to believe you are.i am of the opinion that we can get by with what we have at LB . i believe in holcomb and SDH and foster should be ready by TC . i also believe we are decent in the secondary
that doesnt mean shun a good prospect at those positions but i feel like o/line is the biggest need for us .
not that you said this but many people who campaigned for the 4-3 assured me that we were good at LB and i said not so fast
this is an evaluation year so some will make the change seamlessly so will not
I hope you're right about Foster, but I haven't seen or heard anything to believe you are.
