After all the talk about the Big 4 positions the other day, I got to wondering.
I wondered how much other teams were spending on the big 4. I didn’t have the energy to go through this for every team, but I did grab a subset of teams who made noise in the playoffs recently. I also included all of our division for obvious reasons. I guess it should be no surprise that the Chiefs are spending the least right now. Note that these numbers come from Spotrac, and their Edge classifications were a little jacked up (they had Ioannidis and Allen listed under the Edge class for instance, so I excluded them). This assumes a salary cap of 198.2 million.

As I read the numbers for our team in the first 3 categories, I couldn't get my mind off of the names, Alex Smith, Trent Williams, and Ryan Kerrigan.

Next year we'll rise close to the top of such lists without them.

I am looking for total Time of Position stat for redskins offense vs the other teams because i heard from a reliable source that skins want to go defense heavy under R.R which in return will give Haskins more Reps when i was told this i got thinks how many positions did Haskins have or the redskins offense had this year compared to less say the chiefs etc etc would not be surpised 4 picks on defense 2 picks on offense this year .. but in my opininon you take chase young then rest of draft take best offenseive player on the board

So it makes since that redskins want to go defense heavy they ranked dead last in time of possession try to cause more 3 and outs Chase Young will be the pick and our offense will improve with more time of possession etc etc

Looking at his depth chart, boy... we have serious problems at the 2 OLBer spots, and we're not good at MLBer. I don't think people are getting how bad our entire LBer situation is. Foster's career is in jeopardy, and he's listed as a starter - because there's nobody good enough to put as a starter. Thomas Davis may have some left - but most experts were saying he might have to switch to MLBer. You could make the case that the Skins' top 4 LBers are all best at MLBer. This is one of the reasons I keep saying to consider trading down for a package featuring Simmons.

And they should really start Moreland this season and see what they have there. We know Moreau is very ordinary.

Holcomb, The guy from the Bears, and Anderson all have the speed and ability to play OLB. Moreland over Moreau? No Way.

By lb/FS type, you mean an Urlacher type, right?

Found this on redskins.com describing a possible late 4th round LB from LSU. States LB not high on Redskins needs.

Linebacker is not likely high on the Redskins' list of needs, but Rivera and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio would love Phillips. His draft profile on NFL.com lists him as a team-first player who learns from his mistakes, both of which qualities Rivera looks for in players. He led the Tigers with 113 tackles and can play special teams, which is a role he would have in 2020. In time, Phillips could be a solid starter with Rivera's guidance.

i am of the opinion that we can get by with what we have at LB . i believe in holcomb and SDH and foster should be ready by TC . i also believe we are decent in the secondary

that doesnt mean shun a good prospect at those positions but i feel like o/line is the biggest need for us .

not that you said this but many people who campaigned for the 4-3 assured me that we were good at LB and i said not so fast

this is an evaluation year so some will make the change seamlessly so will not

I hope you're right about Foster, but I haven't seen or heard anything to believe you are.

Reuben Foster Improving? Redskins Feel He May be Ready for Training Camp...

Now, new news has emerged regarding Foster’s rehab. Rhiannon Walker just reported via our friend Jordan(@redskinstoday) Instagram live that Foster has been sprinting, putting weight on the leg, and that team officials feel he could be back in time for training camp.
