Good for him to get out before he becomes Junior Seau. On the other hand, I wasn't sure he was making the team anyway, so this just means that he won't get cut.
Sidney has struggled with injuries his entire career. Wish him the best with his health in the future. He has made a significant amount of money in his career and it is smart of him to put his health first.
Good luck to Sidney, a lot of good memories. I think it is nice that he intents to stay here and be one of the 12th man. Hope his restaurant does well.
That being said, I'm looking forward to seeing our young receivers perform.
well the WR depth will really be competitive outside of harvin and baldwin its going to be game with mathews, richardson, norwood, and kearse a lot of inexperience right there im a little worried
It's really too bad that he had so many injuries during his career, because he was an exciting player when he was on the field. He made some highlight reel catches while he was here, but with his ever-present health issues and his spot on the roster not guaranteed, it would seem that he just didn't want to put himself through that and I can't say that I blame him.
Competition will be tough so it's good that he go out on his own term without risking anymore injuries. Will miss him. He was one of my favorite Seahawks of all time.
Smart move on his part. He is decently well off no? And might as well leave now when he still have decent health. As I believe he mentioned something along the lines of, "I want my health and I don't want to risk it."
Not shocking, but I wish him the best. Always put his body on the line for the team. He can work on his chicken wing business now.
I think he would have had a hard time making the team anyway. Gives the kid Chris Matthews a real shot to impress and may solidify a spot for Norwood and possibly Lockette.
