I'm tired of this guy. He ALWAYS passes blame and never accepts responsibility. He always talks about "going to war with his guys" but never says he makes mistakes. It's always someone else's fault and usually it's Shanahans. Let's face it, he's the Dwight Howard of the NFL. He is a coach killer and he's not a very good QB. All flash no substance.

RGIII was an average QB in college that benefitted from playing in a conference that had no defenses, so he had amazing offensive stats, but when faced with real defenses, he folds under the pressure and only pads his mediocre stats against second stringers in blowout games. WAS put all their eggs in the RGIII basket, so they are stuck with him, but they really need to build an offense around his strengths, not try to make him into a pocket passer, which he is not and never will be. The atrocious defense on that team doesn't help the situation either.

Spot on. He's not a very good passer at all. He routinely overthrows his receivers and makes bonehead decisions.

No, his receivers arent as fast as they should be, and the team is not on same page as him.

(For people new to sarcasm, this is what it looks like.)

I just read on CBS Sports that the Skins want to bring in Art Briles as the HC.

He's going to revolutionize the position.

Does Art Briles want to coach the Redskins however? Judging from his remarks, it doesn't seem like it, of course you have to take that with a grain of salt.

this thread looks very similar to threads last year about Cam Newton

Maybe.

But RG3 looks much worse this year than Cam did last year.

And Cam had been quite average this season.

The RGIII situation is different because he doesn't get along with his coach, and he's a shell of his former self after a serious injury.

:10:

:agree: I thought RG3 was a good QB coming out of college. His long ball was amazing. Now however, he looks like he's has not gotten back to what he was last year and most likely never will. He's no longer a dynamitic runner and his accuracy has suffer also.

I choose to wait longer than 1 ROY and 1 post injury year, before proclaiming anything LONG TERM, regarding Griffs ability to succeed as an NFL QB.

Stupid thread. RG3 is clearly a talent.

He's significantly more gifted than Kaepernick, that's for sure, and probably more gifted than Russel Wilson too. He's just on a significantly less talented team.

You don't have the rookie stats that he had without being a gifted athlete. Some of the highest completion percentages ever for a rookie?

Please, don't be stupid.

And for the record: I think he needs to shut the frack up, and grow up too.

You guys will just have to get through the growing pains of a young QB like we did with Matt Ryan. It is worth the wait.

I said the same thing last year, big flash and it's all over with guys like him and warned that he would be injured before the season was over....I nicknamed him RG-3 and listened to the poop flys hummmmm...lol
I also said then that Russel Wilson was a far better rookie qb than him....I wonder if they believe me now ?

I've warned people since day 1 he's a bit of a diva and a grandstander. He loves him some him and if a camera or open mic is nearby, you bet your ass he'll find his way to it. He'll laugh, joke, etc and then play coy and innocent if anything hard hitting comes his way. He knows what he's doing. Soon as he declared for the draft, his #1 goal has been growing the brand of RG3. 2 years in, that hasn't changed.

But I don't think that plays as much into all his struggles this year. Most of that has to do with the fact that his injury caused him to miss the offseason. You know, that period of time where you can actually work on mechanics, reads, etc and improve as a quarterback.
