hopefully you are only talking about phillies pitchers because there have been many pitchers in mlb history that were better than schilling. actually, just thinking about phillies pitchers in my lifetime, i would easily go with steve carlton in his prime.

Oh yea, Carlton was very consistent over a long period of time. Excellent pitcher.
