Shouldn't espn be tailoring to all 32 teams?

Looking at half the stuff on TV say's otherwise,,no? :laugh3:

From what i have read people want more games from different teams, many fans are tired of the same teams year in and out, shit i have seen more Dallas games and NE GB i want to poke my eye's out over the last 30 plus years and i know i am not alone winning record or not.

Looking at the ratings every time Dallas plays proves me right.

ESPN goes with what brings it the highest ratings.

I never said anything about "everyone". just the highest rated. They program to what gets the most eyes. The most eyes means more ad revenue.

Not sure how you could even argue this.

Of course it does, it is a business.

Win, double jive, and your team will get more coverage. It already has this year.

Im not bitching about "My" team getting more coverage if that is what you guys are thinking,i just wish to see more teams get coverage in general than the same old ones, thats all.

Winning doesn't necessarily generate more coverage. Look at the San Antonio Spurs, 14 straight 50+ win seasons and ESPN wants them to go away.

Really i bet i dont.

K. Your choice, of course. But for me, football on Turkey Day is part of the tradition, as strong as having turkey, no matter who plays.

I said historically they have been bad. Win some championships and be relevant for a while and networks will give you more air time. You give air time to teams with big fan bases. Dallas, SF, and the NE teams come to mind. Ranger fans don't bitch that NYY get more air time, we have sucked for so long that we have to put in our time being relevant before we start getting more highlight time.

I have been to NBA games lately. Doesn't cost more than $25 to park and get in the door on a mid level seat in Dallas. Concessions and beer push that way up though.

I can't wait until we win some championships so we can rise to the level of fordman and be able to actually hold conversation with an asshole.

Let me qualify that comment. Winning gets you MORE coverage than you previously had. It won't get you more coverage than large markets, regardless.

All that means is lots of people get to watch your team suck.
You always this easy?

It's not about being an asshole or about championships (though that certainly helps a lot), it's about economics and ratings for gods sake! Jeez.

Dallas sucks right now. Not always, which is why we have fans. In about 20 years it will hurt us since we aren't getting the young fans on board now. however, the people who enjoyed the success of the 60-70 and the generations of kids from the 90's are all big fans. They are also the age that spends money.

Guess who gets on TV?
