Should we resign EJ Biggers? And should we bring back Brandon Meriweather or let him walk?

Nope, they are both average at best. Why waste another year on any average players from a 3-13 team, both are easily replaceable and in the case of Merriweather we can easily get better production for less than what he would cost us.

Biggers failed at S and CB...he did not perform well for this team, I would not bring him back with Crawford returning from injury. I see brandon coming back, especially if he can be matched with superior backfield teammate.

Biggers was horrible. Good grief! However, I liked Brandon Meriweather's presence on the field. He was making some hard hits. Of course, some got him fined. I believe he does need a better FS counterpart, though. I am anxious to see Phillip Thomas come back. He's virtually a rookie. With all being said, I doubt the FO will spend too much on the safety position. We'll see.

I'm on board with most here. Don't think Biggers is worth it. Merriweather, yes for vet minimum. I don't see how he's not our starting SS at the beginning of the season. I know some are against it, but paring him and Byrd next to each other would do wonders for our defense. Let Thomas and Rambo come in on relief duty only. And Doughty. That's 5 safeties I would feel comfortable going into the season with.

No to biggers.

Merriweather Im torn on because I like his on-field presence as well. I would let walk as well, unless we can get him for cheap.... my gut is that he will not play a full year. Suspension, injury, etc...
