Safety is right there and you could argue it is a bigger need. The dline had too many injuries to really be evaluated.
Doesn't matter who u have in the secondary if you not getting any pressure up front...

No shit Sherlock. But like I said, with all the injuries the DL has has we don't know what we have. We do know both safeties (church included) have been less than stellar. But the way I'm already on record we need to address the DL, it's just not cut and dried more important than S. Go back to cafishing. Your better at it.
Who is to evaluate besides Crawford?? Either way the Dline needs a MAJOR upgrade.... Church will be a starter next year book it Mano...& I am still trying to figure out what you are better at
#This Ain't what U WANT!
Sure ain't trolling. You got that down to a science. I never said Church won't be the starter just said he's less then stellar. Church can hit but he can't cover worth a damn. His Roy Williams light.
Church is ok and Wilcox has game even being green, BUT...safety is still a big time need.
think DT in round one and a safety in round two

D-line is our biggest need. How many more seasons must you see the lack of depth? We have no pass rush. We do need safety but a good d-line can mask secondary deficiencies.
I know you haven't given up on your boy Mat Johnson
Wilcox was my boy. I just wanted someone to challenge Church....and still do
they play different positions but yes...Wilcox intrigues me while Church's high side seems serviceable.
If you line up a ball- hawk Safety next to Church he is more than serviceable, I see Wilcox as more of a box safety than a compliment to Church.....For the record I like them both , but don't consider either a FS. So NOT sure they play different positions.
Wilcox is raw as raw can be but he's a free to me. I think it's his potential ball skills once he gets his feet on the ground this offseason that got him drafted where he was drafted. Doesn't matter if Ed Reed in his prime played with Church, anyone back there can be schemed in coverage through alignments and shifts/motion....why do you think they took #20 off the field entirely? Bottom line, Church had a good season by his standards and needs to continue to grow as a player. The best way for that is through strong completion. I really wouldn't mind all but two picks going the defensive side. Much depends on what we might be able to do with filler depth/role players in free agency. I agree with eiknarflin, LB should not be ignored. Today I'd look DT in the first and there appears to be value there at 20 something. I think safety in round two followed by another DT in round 3, LB/DE/ and another Dback would be nice. That's leaves one pick IF we have 7 this year
