Yeah. The team release said they wanted to be careful with him so they were sitting him for the entire season, although last report was he is way ahead of schedule on his rehab.

No, one way of looking at it is Dany Heatley played so bad last season it was like he was missing from the line up so its not like it would be much different.

I think Marty will be in the line up opening night its just standard hockey player injury talk to not give out any info on injuries

Uhhh... why cut that Sgarbossa guy? I thought he was the best prospect in camp?

No room for his contract under the 50 contract limit. Since he's on an ELC and still eligible for jrs his contract doesn't count against that limit if he goes back to jrs.

He also has some work to do on the defensive side of his game which is probably what they told him to focus on this year.
