He will be heading to Philly very soon.He won't be out of a job long.
Best move was for McClellan to get the hell out of San Jose. It is only going to get worse there and he'll look worse in the process. He was already made the scapegoat in some ways last years. Problem with McClellan is he doesn't have the balls (or cred) to stand up to the vets too much. Patrick Marleau has no accountability and never has. Marleau is more interested in the next episode of Downton Abbey than winning a cup in San Jose. Never has he sat in the box and bumped to the 3rd line until late this year (when McClellan knew he was leaving anyways). This team has a apathetic owner sitting over in Germany and fattening up on schnitzel who seems not to care about winning much. Long days ahead in San Jose and I am a Sharks fan. We are going to need one of those Comedy GOLD out of San Jose threads next year if not already.
May he and Edmonton last a thousand years together.Wow. You could certainly exchange "Toronto" for "San Jose" and "Leafs" for "Sharks" and pretty well have the same analysis.
Ipso facto, McLellan will be the next coach of TOR. (J/K BBB)

Do the Leafs have their own version of Patrick Marleau? I think Marleau's goal is to go an entire career without a mark on his face or a knocked out tooth. Contrast that to Mike Ricci (my favorite Shark) who got high sticked 3 times in one game drawing blood a few years ago. Marleau deserves the the Lady Byng award until he retires.
I think McClellan ends up in Philly. Maybe the Sharks can land Babcock. Sharks need a GM and a coach.
Phil usually enjoys a fine Marleau...
