Good job remaining realistic..... The Bengals don't offer big contracts to guys from other teams. We've been down this road before.

Of the guys you mention, the one I find most intriguing is the tight end from Houston. I only saw him a few times but he seems like he could help in the running game and provide enough of an option in the passing game to be a good second option. Then again, i think we have a nice second option in Charles --- Would be nice to have a different first option than Gresham.

I think Blackburn will end up back on the Giants.

BTW -- Curry definitely fits the Bengals profile. We love former first round busts.

I didn't realize it when I started writing the article, but when I was looking up some info, I found out the Bengals actually had Curry in for a visit this week.

Not trying to make a cowboys to Bengals reference/joke, but when Dallas actually cuts Doug Free he might be worth a look for some other teams. He may not return to an every down player, but he should be cheap and serviceable as a backup or stopgap. Not sure what got into his head last year, but he is too expensive to keep this year. He was good two years ago, then got paid and gave up.
