I want to know what goes on in your mind during a hockey game. This is one of the best backhand passes I have seen in awhile. I can't recall anybody putting that much effort in a backhander. What a beauty...

My pet theory on what sets him apart is his anticipation. He's thinking three times faster than anybody else out on the ice...where people are going to be, what the defenders are likely to do, etc.

I don't think think there is a player in the league more fun to watch then Datsyuk.

Everytime we go to a game, I watch him almost the entire length of a lot of his shifts. Amazing. Like WW said, he seems to know who he is going to steal the puck from before they even know they are about to get a pass.

The pass was a beauty, but what a shot on the other end.

That was very nice!

Not trying to take anything away from it but the Jets didn't play in their defensive zone all game, that was a pathetic display all game.

I'm not a huge fan of Jumbo and Datsyuk >>> Thornton. That said, I think this one is pretty fucking awesome:

Yeah, how does EVERY scout in the NHL miss that one? Was he playing in Siberia or something?

You can see it the second he steps on the ice. You just know he sees more than everyone else combined.
