yep, thats the thing, if he was showing good potential....just showing it....would they even place him on waivers? placing him back on the PS does show there's something there, so the question is how much?

whatever this 'much' is, it has to be weighed with Darius Fleming and Cam Johnson? this isn't saying we MUST keep our own draft picks, but they should be considered in the decision. does the potential in these two guys 'equal' the 'how much'? do they have more 'every down' potential?

I can't speak for what he was going to say, but according to several sources, the 49ers were set to take Oher before Crabtree fell to them at ten. As for Osemele, the 49ers were rumored to like him very much and spoke to him and his coach and agent several times leading up to the draft.
