I'm leaning towards Texas to take the West. I think Oklahoma is the better team, but they rely too much on the outside shot and Texas took them down recently.

Anyone want to talk me out of it?

hard as it is for this Longhorn to say, don't think we can beat A&M without Cam Ridley.

edit: Plus that quad is full of possible rematches, which sucks

Nova would much rather play Temple than Iowa I'd think. Temple hasn't beaten anyone this year. Iowa has shown the ability to be great teams even on the road. What a weird comment

Temple beat SMU, UCONN twice, and UC twice.

So as long as you're avg. in a power 5, you're a lock over lower level teams who dominate their conf. This committee is stupid.

Monmouth is a perfect example of why little teams should waste no teams playing competitive OOC road games because if you do that but don't win your conference tourney, you still won't make the tourney

Exactly. It's just a total crap shoot for most of these teams.

NCAA protected UNC by keeping us out of Philly.

Bastards.

They always protect their precious UNC and Duke.

I disagree. I think those games helped prepare Monmouth for conference play. It's not like they would've been in the tournament if they had wins over low-majors instead. They have to win their conference tournament no matter what and the best way to do that is to use the regular season to get experience and improve.

Can someone explain why FGCU and Fairleigh Dickinson are in the first four, and Austin Peay somehow managed to avoid that? I thought the first round/play-in game for 16 seeds were for the two worst teams in the tournament?
