That would really be great to get Lovie Smith back in St. Louis. In 2001 we were a top 5 defense when he was DC.

Gruden was not as successful elsewhere after leaving the Bucs though either. Even with the homework the owners do, it's no guarantee that we are going to find the next great coach. If everybody remembers, Fisher was considered a great coach until this year's fiasco. I'm sure his reputation is going to take a hit now though. I'll bet the Dolphin's owner is breathing a sigh of relief right about now that he didn't get Fisher after all. But at this point I'd be willing to gamble on Donald Duck and the Disney characters over Fisher and staff. They'd only be slightly more comical.
