I just wish the league with focus on intent rather than the extent of the injury. Of course, the argument would be "Are you a mind reader? You have no idea what the player was intending to do".

But extent of injury should have some kind of factor in the punishment. And I hope Colton Orr has something to say during the next Leafs/Rangers game. Players should police themselves a bit.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Sean Avery does not deserve the privilege of continuing to be an NHL hockey player.

And Dash, I agree. You have to interpret intent at some point. When you're just blatantly using your stick as a weapon, that's not part of the game and you've shown a clear disregard for the safety of other players in the game. This is much more important than how bad the resultant injury is and the NHL consistently doesn't seem to get it.

Its not that it was a loss. I can respect that. Ive been to plenty, believe me. And I still have a good time. Last night was completely different. I have never seen a worse case with my own eyes of a team having to battle a team plus the refs. I know I sound biased because it was my team that lost, but believe me, if you were there, you would have seen all the missed calls against the leafs.

Whatever... Real shitty start to the season. Lost way too much for one point.
