Cousins takes sack; misses touchdown - Hail 22

here is some FILM shark . now look at the breakdown and you will see what people are saying

it clearly shows that KC had 3 different options open ( one for a Td) but KC didnt "trust " his read

hmmmm where have i heard this before could it be RG3 ?

this isnt a bash a thon on KC . the point you should take from this is young qbs make mistakes and miss reads , even easy ones .

what also should be taken from this is that KC doesnt necessarily own the market on reading defenses for the redskins and that Rg3 can read defenses as well as KC but both need lots of work

Skinsdad.... here is the thing. Lets Assume we ONLY gave a 1st rounder for a QB, and we also gave up a 4th rounder for a project QB.... Would you think it was LOGICAL to expect more out of a guy taken in the 1st than you would a guy who slipped to the 4th?? MOST Qbs taken in the 3rd round or later are expected to be project players. Most wont see any starting ime at all unless its due to injury to the starter. You would EXPECT a 3rd year top ten pick to be a bit further along in the QBing aspect of playing QB. But as usual you are basically telling me, dont raise the bar lower expectations. We should expect more out of the QB we took in the 4th, while simultaneously lowering expectations for the "Franchise" QB we drafted with the second over all pick. I KNOW you see the disconnect in that logic. I would expect RG3 to be MUCH further along than Kirk based on his draft position, the amount of starts he has had, and the generally accepted expectation that RG3 is simply a better QB.

But I will take your advice, I will stop trying to raise the bar and will simply lower my expectations.

I will ask you though.. If Rg3 can read defenses as well as Kirk, why is it for the last 14 starts he has had, he usually struggles to put up points until the game is out of reach??

it isnt about raising or lowering the bar . its about understanding that young qbs make mistakes regardless of draft position

now i have been told by several of you how KC is white hot on reading defenses and that Rg3 is dumber then a box of rocks

as for your expectations remember where KC came from (pro style offense )
and where Rg3 came from (single read spread offense)

now who should be further along now ? and its still clear that Rg3 is the guy in DC

as for struggling to put up points , well you are simply not looking at the facts

the KC game we were down 31-0 . Rg3 threw one pick that led to a TD . the other 24 points were on the special teams and defense

but yet Rg3 is at fault

and if special teams and defense put them in bad positions the what can anyone say

we have the worst starting field position in the NFL that is defense not getting turnovers and not flipping field position and special teams who cant get kicks into the end zone

yeah raise the bar HAH looking for ways to hate is more like it

Wilson missed a touchdown on opening drive - Hail 22

well looky here . a super bowl winning qb with a 29-8 career record blew a simple read for a TD because he was focused on the run

how is your bar for that one shark ?

and that defense had no chance on the play because of poor coaching

First off, I would expect the guy who gets the majority of the coaching attention and reps to be further along.

Secondly Im not blaming Rg3 for us being behind, so much as pointing out that he fails to put up points until the game is out of hand.

But IM going to do as you suggest and lower expectations.

Any one can have a bad play, series or game. The things I have pointed out about Rg3 are not single occurrences. Even Peyton Manning has a bad game every now and again. But Rg3s issues are presistent.
