Did you know that Florida Panthers is an anagram for “panty droppers?”

Austin Mathuse (I’m not paying the NHLPA for the rights) has certainly lost his fashion-forward thong so far this series. Let’s hope he finds some boy shorts by game 3.

Let’s go Leafs!

I'm fine with however this ends, I'd just really like them to not get swept. I think they've played well enough to not deserve that regardless of Bob turning the page back to 2019.

I think there's enough positives that have come out of this postseason that a good GM, be that Dubas or a new hire, can turn into a strong playoff team that can continue to stay near the top of the division regardless of what happens with Matthews and Nylander.

Saturday was fun, don't care that it was just the first round. 19 years is a long time to go without being able to really celebrate anything.

Leafs have been road warriors in these playoffs, get game 3 and the series is really on. Leafs had very little puck luck last night, they deserved at least OT in my opinion.

I guess it's just the feeling that Bob is on and the group has time and again had no answer for a hot goalie (see Korpisalo, Price).

One thing I think has hurt a bit too, both Giordano and Brodie are both playing pretty bad and Liljegren doesn't seem to have a lot of confidence out there (can't blame him, considering he had to watch as Holl took his spot while being responsible for half the goals against). Considering how much mistakes have hurt them thus far there isn't much room for that and if they can't figure it out I'm not seeing a long series, especially losing last change for the next two.

In all honesty, I thought the rock bottom Bennett gave Knies last night was worse than the cross-check that dinged Sam for 5 G's. I'm just a dummy posting stuff on a internet forum, though.

During this playoffs, it has been really my first introduction to Dubas. I had to Google a little bit.

Does he always act like a petulant child while in public view? I mean, yeah go into your office, close the door and kick the trash can, throw shit at the walls, etc. But don't do that in front of the entire world. No class BS breeds no class actions all the way down the line. If he was my kid (I got older kids) I'd call him and say WTF are you thinking? Calm yourself.

It took Knies out and Cernak's injury was used as rationale for Bunting's extended suspension so...again...:noidea:

That’s such a fuckin bummer man.

You know what else is a bummer in my eyes? I see so many guys on twitter saying that they're okay with the Bennett hit on Knies including body slamming him to the ice. Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age (I know I'm getting crankier) but what I do know is that ice is very hard and when your head hits the ice it causes some damage (even when you're wearing a helmet).

My daughter suffered at least two concussions when she was doing gymnastics and one on her cheer team when she was kicked in the head by a teammate. Maybe that makes me overly sensitive to seeing people diagnosed with concussions, but I don't want to see guys being thrown/rag-dolled to the ice to become a regular thing in the NHL.

I don't like it, I guess there's just a lot of shady areas in the rulebook that probably limits that to roughing unless the perp is Kadri.

These playoffs are showing that the NHL doesn't really have a good grasp on their own rules, nobody is on the same page and players are getting hurt as a result in the most important time of year.
