as a lifelong fan of one of the most losing in the clutch organizations I can say that it is absolutely murder and cruel that you have to wait another day when you are 100% in the know that elimination is a certainty.

You just made me look at a highlight reel of Cloutier on youtube. I'll tell you, I was at game 2 and when I walked out of Joe Louis I had to decide to walk across the tube or just jump off to the interstate below. I felt a lot better after Mr Lidstrom did his thing in game 3.

The replies here saying the Murray acquisition wasn’t a disaster because the Leafs didn’t give anything up as if $4.5 mil in cap space for two seasons isn’t something.

ESPN just did a feature on the origin of the Rat Trick. I learned two things:

1: Mellanby has the piece of drywall the rat hit in a frame.

2: Patrick Roy was so pissed off that a rat hit him after the second goal that he said in the locker room "There will be no more rats". The Panthers did not score again the rest of the series.
