Does that mean that Pearson has made the team? Or is there another ronund of cuts?

They are down to 31, so there will be more cuts.

Marc-André Cliche was claimed off waivers by the Colorado Avalanche, while Brandon Kozun and Andrew Campbell cleared waivers and were loaned to the Manchester Monarchs.

Pearson ultimately probably won't make the team out of camp but will probably be one of the last cuts. There is no worry about him having to clear waivers before going to Manchester (same with Toffoli), so since he's a T6 type of player, and unless DS & DL feel he's a better option that Frattin on the 2nd line LW he'll be in Manchester by opening night.

Haven't looked at who's left in camp but with 31 players still on the active roster the Kings have to cut 8 more to get to the opening night limit of 23. I'm figuring 1 of those will be either Scrivens or Garon whoever isn't picked to be Quick's backup but it's anyone's guess who the other 7 will be.

I completely forgot Cliche was still in the system. Came over in the Avery trade from NYR I believe, so he hung around for 5+ years. He was a mainstay in Manchester, solid defensive player.

Kozun, not surprised. Lots of skill but small (5'9"/165), cracking the NHL was going to be a rough go. Local kid, born in LA, Kings took him 6th/2009 hoping they might have found a Martin St. Louis.

I dont think pearson, or TT play after Vegas. Kings are looking to keep 8 Dmen. That doesnt leave room for rookie forwards. Brown will be back soon and it looks like Frattin and Carillo willbe staying. I dont see King or Clifford or Lewis being put on waivers. The only chance they have is if the Kings waive a player for cap space.

Yeah, I can't see TT or Pearson up for the season opener, unless Brown or Muzzin aren't quite ready.

I think Shultz is gone. Elerby can play right or left and Shultz is big but slow. Also I think Shultz has a better chance to clear waivers.

So Brown has 4 kids now and says no more. Does anyone think his "groin pull" might be something else? What was it that our little Pucky had after his 4th? Snip snip

Yes i am joking

With that, roster appears to be set. I was going to type this out but looks like LAKI already did what i was thinking.

Dustin Brown – Anze Kopitar – Justin Williams
Matt Frattin – Mike Richards – Jeff Carter
Dwight King – Jarret Stoll – Trevor Lewis
Kyle Clifford – Colin Fraser – Jordan Nolan

Robyn Regehr – Drew Doughty
Willie Mitchell – Slava Voynov
Alec Martinez – Matt Greene

Jonathan Quick
Ben Scrivens

Scratches: Daniel Carcillo, Keaton Ellerby, Jake Muzzin

Perfectly fine with this. King, Nolan and Martinez looked great from what I saw this pre-season and they all look to be back to 2012 cup form. Mitchell looked well too and should only get better as the season goes on. Pearson, Toffoli and Vey all made good cases for them to come up in case of an injury or someone just not producing.

Its nice to have the big club set so well but also have that kinda depth to call up if needed.

Not sure about your lines but that's pretty much the roster. From what I saw at Frozen Fury the 3rd line of Clifford, Stoll and Lewis looked awfully good at both ends of the ice. Solid in their checking responsibilities plus the ability to generate some good scoring chances. King looked good playing with Kopitar and Williams (who wouldn't) but he isn't going take Brown's spot so I agree with your no. 1 line. It's going to be interesting to see what Sutter does for opening night in Minnesota.
