The Gamecocks have lost to Bama and MSU this season. Even if they get past one of them, they'd get UK. Probably looking at no better than a 9-seed but really, with the way they've played down the stretch again this year, they deserve another NIT bid.

Sad, but I can't argue with that. Obviously, I would like to see them in the big dance, but these end of the year collapses seem to happen far too often. Alabama did beat us, but it took 4 OTs to do it. Still, after that game, the Gamecocks seemed to lose all of their energy. After a close win against lowly MSU, they lost four of their next six. Hoping the rest and a win over Alabama can get them reset.

It was the same thing last year, they were rolling along, then lost to Alabama, then the rest of the season was crap. I like Frank Martin, but if they keep doing the same thing to close out ever year, that's gotta be on the coaching staff.

Hoping for a good effort this afternoon...probably wouldn't beat UK in the semis but need some kind of positive going into the post-season.
