Hello to all. I've been tracking Big 10 recruiting over in the PSU forum, and created a spreadsheet to rank schools within the conference (with help of some freely available services). I have adapted it to rank the SEC teams here, and will update this thread periodically. If anyone would like to update the list more frequently, please let me know, as I could arrange it, and it is not that difficult to do. I will try to work out some arrangement with BoiseStateFan27 to edit the top post. The decimal number at the end is the schools score using the JM Method™.

How do you come up with the 16.85 rating, and what does it mean?

I have a formula (which I may tweak a bit as time goes by). It involves percentages - that might be the best way to think of the numbers.

Is the A&M number factoring any decommits from the move and HC change?

It came off lists I believe to be current. Do you have the names of the 'decommits' so I could check them?

It's going to be interesting to see how that Texas talent stacks up with the SEC guys.

So your numbers change with the same amount of commits?

Yes, they do. As I told an earlier poster, it is a percentage based system, and that's the best way to think of the scores.

Mississippi has a commitment from Antonio Allen, a 4-star DB from Indianapolis, who had at least 10 offers, including in-state schools Indiana and Purdue. That SEC success is tempting some guys to head down South. Not a trend I favor. Rebels now have 6 commits, and jump 2 slots.

Arkansas has its first commit of the post-Petrino era: Kaleb Blanchard, 3-star RB from Denham Springs, LA.

1 Georgia, 15 commits, 16.1
2 Florida, 15 commits, 16.0
3 Texas A&M, 14 commits, 13.85
4 Alabama, 11 commits, 12.75
5 LSU, 9 commits, 9.35
6 Missouri, 9 commits, 8.4
7 Auburn, 8 commits, 7.9
8 Vanderbilt 7 commits, 6.85
9 Mississippi, 6 commits, 5.95
10 South Carolina, 6 commits, 5.15
11 Tennessee, 5 commits, 4.9
12 Miss. St., 2 commits, 1.8
13 Kentucky, 1 commit, 0.9
14 Arkansas, 1 commits, 0.9

Percentage of what? I don't understand why this thread was stickied if only one person knows whats in the numbers.
