It's better than what we would've gotten if we'd let him walk, but still underwhelming.

You see how well that has worked out.

I was going to look at FA starting pitching for next season but I don't remember beyond Darvish what they market looked like
Sure as hell we won't be home growing them anytime soon. Save your pennies, JD, you're going to need them this offseason. Which actually started today.

Well this trade deadline didn't go far towards what Texas needed to truly overhaul the team and farm. Seems like if he was gonna take that weak package for Darvish, JD might have moved some of the other pieces to try and help.

Let's add him to the list of guys that may K 175-200 times a season :D
Dunno. Maybe JD grabbed these guys thinking they could be thrown into an off season trade. There's always hoping for such.

Really surprised we did not unload Kozma. :pound:

Told you JD would get his ass kicked by the Dodgers.

What an abysmal, expected return.

And the truth lies somewhere between.

You/me and the rest of us don't have a clue YET if this was a good trade for us or not. That will only come about when these 3 guys over the next few years pan out or fold, regardless of what does this season/post season, and where he signs next.

And you of all people said, "Yu HAS TO BE TRADED" and keeping him wasn't even an option should know this. Tell you, specifically, something else. It's one whole helluva lot more than fucking peanuts.

The most surprising/disappointing aspect of this is that there is only 1 pitching prospect coming back.

It will be quite some time before he develops as well, if he ever does make it

With their reluctance to spend past a certain level, I am not sure they well be in the competitive realm here and still add the rest of what the team needs

Darvish is probably gonna be "SICK" in the NL and could win a WS possibly. Damn shame the Dodgers didnt have to pay more

Yes. Darvish had to be traded. But what JD got back is such a joke that you'd think he'd never done this before. This is a terribly sad day for the Rangers.

The Rangers got worse today. Much worse. Maybe it was inevitable. But still...just wow.

If only Beltre could be traded to a contending team now. He's stuck with a team going nowhere the rest of his career now.
