cowerd says shit for shock value . wilbon is just a hater , always has been

While what you say may be true. The fact that they used Taylor's actual death and both in effect were in large part blaming Taylor for his actual death. As well as adding a "Good riddance to bad rubbish." vibe to it. Is something I don't recall any sports personalities, be they shock jock or hater, doing before or really since. They both came off as if Taylor was neck deep in some gang-related home invasion, give us all the dope and money or we'll kill your fuckin family bullshit.

I doubt ST would be a Redskin today had he lived.

I disagree. I think ST would have been an even greater gamechanger in time and would have kept us more competitive over the last few years. He would have been our Ray Lewis or our JJ Watt, our foundation. As he grew as a football player people around him would have been better. Our CB's wouldn't have been gashed relentlessly with WR's fearing him.

It is tragic what happened to ST but from a selfish football standpoint I believe it set us back monumentally for the franchise. For the last eight years people would be discussing how he was the best defensive player in the league and debating if you'd rather have ST or JJ Watt.

Every time I see this stuff I get sad and mad at the same time. MEAST would've been one of the GOAT.

Not sure if anyone saw the interviews with Ryan Clark & Louis Riddick (they are currently on Redskins ESPN page) - very touching. Ryan played w/ him early in his career & Riddick helped draft him. Both emphasized that Taylor was turning the corner in his life just before his death & was mis-portrayed by other media members who didn't know him (Cowherd, Wilbon, etc). This is still the hardest death that I can remember for someone that was not a family member or close friend.

RIP Sean.
