Big game for NO at Carolina this week. Kind of interesting that Payton has benched his starting LT Charles Brown in favor of a rookie who has never taken an offensive snap. I didn't see NO lose at St. Louis last week, but apparently the switch to the rookie was motivated by Rams DE Robert Quinn consistently beating Brown. Seems to me that Quinn has been beating a lot of guys all season and that switching to an unproven rookie LT is a pretty big gamble, particularly since Carolina also features a couple of very good pass rushing DEs in Greg Hardy and Charles Johnson. Should be interesting to see whether the move pays off and NO is able to get a much needed road win at Carolina.

It's a huge gamble...the STL/NO game was out of hand when I turned to it so I didn't hang around...But I've seen a lot of the Saints this year, they're a different team on the road...especially defensively...doesn't matter which OT starts on the left side, I like CAR in this game to even up the season series.

Yeah, I am inclined to also take Carolina in this game.

Another interesting aspect of the gamble is that Brown apparently played pretty well against them when they met in NO a couple of weeks ago, not giving up any sacks and helping protect Brees enough that he was able to throw four TDs.

CAR is quietly building a solid team...I think Kuechly is a little overrated imo...very good, but not this great MLB the media is painting...the DL picks are paying off...still need another WR...next year they won't have both big money RBs so they will be able to put more money into the back 4, and WR/TE.

I think they have better balance than NO, and if Cam doesn't turn it over I like them to win a close game by 3 to 4 points.
