Thank goodness SEA starts Joe Saunders LHP tonight. Hopefully TEX goes with a heavy RH lineup and Murphy and Martin both sit.

Sitting Murphy in favor of baker would make way too much sense for wash to pull the trigger. He loves Murphy's veteraness

Romeo ... You and I share a common perspective on this piece and the crazy lineups. All it will take to shut me up is Murphy putting up a .820OPS from here forward. That was the average OPS for the 2012 top 20 AL OFs.

I think that is reasonable expectation. If he isn't performing to that level then he's not contributing to the level he needs to be based on being the everyday LF. It's not his fault that Hamilton's performance is not there this season but that doesn't change the production he has to contribute to the whole.

He's a nice guy and a veteran as you noted ... and Wash loves veterans ... but more than that JD et.al. (and us) want wins. MY got special dispensation in 2012 ... but Murphy isn't the FoF and has got about a week to get going or he needs to sit down and be the #4. Only question then is whether Martin is now the full time LF ... or if another move is made to fill the vacant LF spot. IMO.

Edit: Line up is out ... Murphy in LF with Baker at 1b ... sigh.

Wash and his veterans. Moreland has been hitting the ball hard and been unlucky. Murphy's approach has been terrible.

I will go ahead and say Rangers win 5-1. Yu goes 8 for the win. Nathan saves it in the 9th. Saunders is not a bad pitcher but we all know he struggles more so away from Seattle.
