But, Eichorst said he only contacted one man for that position and I believe him. That man was our man Riley.

I really don't know why any hard core supporter or fan of Huskers would endorse/want a scum bag like Tressel associated with this team and university. That is just my opinion though, others may overlook his character for potential W's, I would not

There is no way in hell Eichorst was ever looking at Tressel.

That was the biggest myth of a story in the history of coaching searches.

Nebraska wouldn't take on a guy with his recent history.

No way Eichorst would have set his targets on a guy who averaged 6 losses a year if wins and losses were all that mattered.

Eichorst felt the pressures of our program losing the respect that it had garnered over decades of playing with great dignity and pride. He wanted no more noise, and bringing in a guy like Tressel brings A LOT of noise.

There is also no way Eichorst would have ever wanted to deal with the NCAA trying to make it work. He wants to deal with people as little as possible.

Riley was the easiest hire he could make, so he did.
