What's the story on him. I know he had a good year a couple of years ago. Did he get injured?? I'm just curious because Sveum named him a starter for Chi today and I'm trying to get a sense of how shitty the rotation is going to be.

He's pretty mediocre overall, was hurt a couple years ago, and last year he was medicore and had a lot of bad luck

he'll get a lot of groundballs, hope your infielders are good defensively

he is average just like romeo/jta said....had a pretty good year awhile back got hurt

but yeah he is a solid/avg pitcher that will have bad days now and then

4th/5th rotation spot kinda guy

Thanks guys. I was just wondering what to expect. Our infield D should be decent. Castro made great strides defensively last year and Barney won a GG at 2B. Rizzo is still young but is good at 1B. The defense at 3B depends on who's playing that day. Ramirez leaving left us with a hole at 3B.

Let me put it this way. Texas has one of the best MIF in all of baseball between Beltre, Andrus, and Kinsler and Feldman still got tagged a lot. However, the NL should be a better style league for him.

Kinsler led all 2B in the AL in errors with 18. Andrus was tied for 2nd in errors for a SS in the AL. Their aggregate fielding was the worst, not just in the AL, but in all of baseball last year. Beltre is a stud, but Kinsler and Andrus were horrible with the glove last season.

I think the question is range not errors, Andrus will always have higher error totals due to the fact that he gets to more balls b/c of his range, same with Beltre

This. Kinsler is a plus defender. He just had an all around down year last year.

Please don't tell me you honestly think our infield defense was worse than say Detroits.
