A little perspective for the Madden geeks like me.

These are the player ratings at the beginning of the season and then the current ratings.

Free Agency Week 1 rating/Current rating
CB C. Culliver 85/76 -9
NT T. Knighton 88/87 -1
DE S. Paea 83/80 -3
DE R. Jean-Francis 77/80 +3
SS J. Johnson 76/73 -3
OLB J. Gallete 86/86 even

FA TOTAL: -13

Trade
FS D. Goldson 74/78 +4
TE D. Carrier 69/75 +6

TRADE TOTAL: +10

DRAFT
G B. Scherff 80/80 even
OLB P. Smith 70/76 +6
RB M. Jones 71/74 +3
WR J. Crowder 70/76 +6
FS K. Jarrett 63/75 +12
Kouandjio, Speight, Mitchell, Spencer, and Reiter were all even.

DRAFT TOTAL: +27

Didn't track the guys that he picked up off the street, but they played a big role in getting us the division last year and for the most part balled out when called upon. Almost as impressive as his draft.

K D. Hopkins
CB W. Blackmon
RB P. Thomas
WR R. Ross
TE A. Smith
T T. Nsekhe
ILB M. Foster
CB Q. Dunbar

This is in no way scientific. They could have underrated our guys from the start. Just found it interesting that according to Madden, Scot killed the draft as expected and largely struck out with his big name FA's.
