I don't think we win by much. With Michigan State looming, I see Beck nearly cutting Ameer's touches in half this game to keep him fresh for next weekend. Believe it or not, coaches really do look ahead.....a lot.

During the Bo Pelini era, Nebraska has only had one game over 60 and that was against Idaho State and that score was in the 70s.

Time to put a score in the 60-69 range.

Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Wisconsin have all put 60 or higher on a Bo Pelini team. Illinois is not in their class.

Like I said, the reason I don't see Bo doing it is because Bo doesn't do it.

Games like these he tends to save his guys up. I'll bet Imani and Newby get a ton of carries in this game. We'll probably go real vanilla all around and just get a nice win so we can move on healthily to Michigan State next week.

If we come out and punish Illinois I will be shocked.

I would go so far as to say that the home run ball is part of the offensive scheme. They are (or have been so far) thrown in every game. It is a natural really, when the running game is working it opens it up for the deep ball.

Plus, Tommy doesn't always follow his progressions and looks for the deep ball first.
