There were already rumors that the two did not get along recently. Now I am hearing that one writer believes either Schwartz or Mayhew will be gone before the season is over. That got me to thinking. If the Lions were to start 1-4 or something, and only one of them was to be fired, which would you rather see go?
Myself, I think Schwartz should go over Mayhew. Mayhew has not been perfect, but has has also done a lot of good. He has done a lot towards turning over the talent level in Detroit. He made some great trades in the past. He had had some horrible drafts IMO, but I still believe he was getting Schwartz the players he wanted for his scheme.
Schwartz on the other hand, has yet to give me one good reason to want him as our coach. I have not seen hm outcoach anyone other than himself so far. His clock management is horrific. He has not shown he can be disciplined much less keep his players discipline. Frankly, his schemes suck!
Personally I dont see how anyone could like Schwartz and hate Mayhew, but I have a feeling there are plenty, so I figured I would toss this subject out there.
