Scholorship limit

With the guys we have under scholorship & the guys we already have verbally committed we have 87 guys on scholorship. There is a 90 Scholly limit so that leaves us room for 3 more guys.

There's no telling whats going to happen with Starling, though he'll probably go to baseball. There's no telling what will happen with Heard. I am actually counting Heard toward the 87 guys we have on scholorship.

That gives us room to sign 3 more guys for this season. We could obviously take more so long as they took grayshirts like Sutton.

As you can tell I am bored.

Also,

We are in for a very small recruiting class next year as well. That is unless we have a shit load of transfers and/or early entries in the draft. NU will only have 16ish Seniors to be. With Sutton counting towards next years class that leaves us with 15ish spots to recruit for next year to stay @ the 90 scholly limit. Kids will leave or get dismissed or leave for the draft so that number will probably look more like 18-20 but still.....kind of interesting. 2 years from now there will be a shit load of schollies available. 23 as of right now....with transfers and other stuff that number will probably look more like 27-30 schollies available in 2 years.

I guess I read spidy's points differently....Isn't everything we fans talk about, bitch about, post about by definition "trivial" and out of our hands?

I didn't read him to be pointing out anything to get up in arms about, he was simply posting some information....In fact I thought it was interesting that for the next 2 years in effect we will become very upper class heavy, which could be good so long as guys develop and continue to improve....

yes next years class will be tight, with about 12-14 ships available. Our junior class is huge next year at 22. Possibly an over sign there in that class but we really had no choice considering where that other fucking coach had the program sitting talent wise
