NHL refs sure know how to fuck up a good game. If I was still a hardcore Sharks fan I'd be fucking pissed. As it stands all I can do is shake my head at yet another act of inept officiating.

These announcers are brutal..."intent to blow the whistle" doesn't apply when you are the ref that calls the goal. If he intended to blow the whistle, he would have blown the damn thing rather than signaling goal :L

Not true. The ref never actually has to blow to whistle to disallow a goal. The irony is for all the legitimate goals that have been waved off because of "intent" they ruin what was a fantastic game on a puck the goalie actually had iced and a goal that never should have counted.

I understand the rule, but that refers to when the ref doesn't get the whistle blown in time (but he intended to blow it). He clearly did not intend to blow it if he signaled goal. If he intended to blow the whistle, he'd be waving it off.

edit: also ironic...by not blowing it, he blew it

I'm kinda glad LA scored those extra 2 goals so that questionable goal technically won't go down as the difference. It was a huge momentum shifter and arguably led to the other 2 goals, but good teams should be able to overcome that type of adversity.

LOL! Did someone just land like 3 good ones, then get up and try to play the puck? Never seen that before.

Refs blew this game so bad. These teams were actually playing hockey tonight (instead of boxing) until the (non) blown goal call.
