That is the idea of a SP for sure...A's got a great trade this time of year and should be healthy now with a ton of pitching options coming down to the end as well.

I feel like I wasn't quite as impressed as some of the media guys, but it was a solid start to me, and he did a great job at the end of his day in the 7th. I don't think he's a savior or true stud, but he's solid and he gives them flexibility. Performances like today's won't always be good enough, but they'll usually be good enough for Oakland, and I think that's what BB is banking on.

All his peripheral stats were telling me that the numbers in his record should have been flipped when we traded for him. The lack of run support he had in Chicago was sad.
