Selfish I know, but it seems like maybe Barney could take one for the team and let this son walk on. So they could offer that scholly to another Nebraska kid who will end up going elsewhere now.

As much as we may be inclined to look at the family connections here I just can't imagine the coach giving away one of our very limited ships to someone who doesn't deserve it. Being that he could and would have walked on.
This is not the first time a coaches son has been on a ship and it will definitely not be the last.

I hear you corn train. I'm not slamming the Cotton kid or making assumptions he doesn't deserve a 'ship. Mainly, I'm pissed Iowa is stepping in and getting Nebraska kids. I really liked the Ott kid and hoping they don't end up getting Shoff too.

Doesn't really bother me when those kids end up playing for Fearless Frank at Ohio, but Iowa? Grrrrrr!

Any particular recruit is always subjective

I still do not fully understand the Bender kids situation, at the time when he was told the truth about playing QB, yes, but now with our current situation at QB and the fact that we never stopped pursuing other QB recruits after telling him no makes me wonder. It has never sat very well with me personally, but then I'm not an insider either so fuck it
